How to handle sweat, rain, or dust on your headphones

Leaving sweat or raindrops on the headphones can cause metal parts to rust and the headset to deteriorate.

Wipe them off with 99% water-based wipes, then leave the headphones at room temperature to dry thoroughly. Do not use solvents such as thinner, benzene, or alcohol, as they may damage the finish on the surface of the earbuds or cause other damage.

    How to clean the earpads

To clean the earpads, use a soft, dry cloth or 99% water-based wipes. After wiping, let the headphones dry thoroughly at room temperature. Do not use solvents such as thinner, benzene, or alcohol, as they may damage the surface finish or cause other issues.

Hint: The color of the earpads may darken due to water, sweat, sebum, etc., but this does not affect the performance of the headphones. If this concerns you, drying the earpads may reduce the discoloration. We recommend regular cleaning to maintain their condition.

How to keep the exterior of the headphones clean

To keep the exterior of the headphones clean, wipe them off with a soft, dry cloth. Be careful not to push dirt into the USB Type-C® port or headphone cable input jack.
Hint: Extend and retract the slider and rotate the earpads to wipe all areas.

How to clean the microphones on your headphones

If earwax or foreign matter gets to the mesh in front of the headphones’ microphones, the noise-cancelling function may not work well, or abnormal noise may occur. Clean them occasionally to avoid these issues.

    1. To remove the earpads, pull them straight out from the earcup (perpendicular to the surface).
    2. Using a cotton swab, clean the mesh in front of the microphones on the headphones.
Note: Be careful not to push the dirt inside the headphones. Be careful not to touch any part other than the mesh on the microphone, such as the diaphragm (the circular membrane behind the microphone), as this may cause a malfunction.
    3. Reattach the earpads to the headphones. Firmly insert the five claws until you hear a clicking sound.

    Notes:

    • Please do not remove the earpads unless it’s necessary.
    • When you remove the earpads, please make sure the headphones are turned off and the USB cable is not connected to the headphones.
    • Attach each earpad to the correct side—left to left, right to right. They are not interchangeable!
    • Please don’t remove the earpads in a location with iron sand or other metal dust. The magnet inside the headset may attract iron sand or other metal objects, causing it to malfunction.
    • Damage resulting from not following these precautions is not covered under warranty.
