To protect the TV from image retention, if there are no operations performed for a while a screen saver is automatically activated. The screen saver is canceled and the TV returns to the previous screen once the remote control is operated. Because the specifications differ depending on the TV type, select the type of TV you are using from the following:

For Android TV models, the Screen saver activation time can be changed:
For Android TV (Android™ 7.0 or later)
- On the remote control, press the HOME or
Quick Settings button. - Select
Settings. - The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Device Preferences → Screen saver → When to start.
- Select System → Screen saver → Screen saver → When to start.
- Select Screen saver → When to start.
- Select from the following: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours
For Android TV (Android 6.0)
- On the remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Select Daydream in the TV category.
- Select When to daydream.
- Select from the following: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour
NOTE: Sony recommends that the Screen saver or When to daydream be set to the minimum (5 minutes) to avoid image retention and help keep a longer panel life.
