There is no sound when connecting to a computer. (PHA-1A, PHA-2, PHA-2A, PHA-3)
Check that the Headphone Amplifier is correctly recognized by the computer:
1. Check that the designated USB drivers are installed and check the settings on your computer
NOTE: If your Windows computer does not have Sony USB Device Driver or Sony Portable Headphone Amplifier USB Audio Driver, install it. Visit the following website, then download and install the driver software.

How to set your computer's sound device settings.
- Windows 10/8/8.1
- While pressing the Windows logo button, press the X button.
- Select Control Panel from the shown menu.
- Select Hardware and Sound.
- Select Sound.
- Select Playback tub.
- Select Sony PHA-3/Sony Portable Headphone Amplifier/Sony Headphone Amplifier (PHA-1A) from the Playback device.
- Click Set Default.
If the issue persists, continue to Step 2.
- Windows 7:
- Select Control Panel from Start menu.
- Select Hardware and Sound.
- Select Sound.
- Select Playback tub.
- Select Sony PHA-3/Sony Portable Headphone Amplifier/Sony Headphone Amplifier(PHA-1A)from the Playback device.
- Click Set Default.
If the issue persists, continue to Step 2.
- Select System Preferences from Apple menu.
- Select Sound.
- Select Output tub.
- Select Sony PHA-3/Sony Portable Headphone Amplifier/Sony Headphone Amplifier(PHA-1A)from Select a device for sound output.
If the issue persists, continue to Step 2.
2. Check that the connection settings between the Headphone Amplifier and other devices and the settings of the INPUT switch are correct.
- Utilize the cable that comes with the Headphone Amplifier when connecting it to your computer. If you use another cable, it may not be correctly recognized by the computer.

3. Check by restarting the computer or with another solution method.

Restart the computer.

Check by connecting to another USB port.

Depending on the music playback software, the volume can be adjusted by the software. Check the settings or volume adjustment of the music playback software.

When you play back High-Resolution audio format files via a computer, use the compatible application such as Hi-Res Audio Player. If your computer does not have Hi-Res Audio Player, install it.

Check whether the CD-ROM drive is compatible with the digital playback function.
