Notes when connecting to and playing audio from an amp that supports optical input.

    When connecting the unit to an amp using an optical cable, be sure to check the following before use.

    • Make sure that the unit and the amp are both using the latest software versions.

      NOTE: For how to update, check the instruction manual of the product.
    • After connecting the unit to the amp, make sure that no loud sounds or noise occurs before use. Take extra care that no loud sounds or noise occurs when using a USB DAC for playback.

      NOTE:
      • When connected to the amp using an optical cable, the Volume dial on the unit and the VOL button on the remote control cannot be used to adjust the volume. Adjust the volume from the amp.
      • Preemptively set a low volume level on the amp, and then adjust the volume when the sound is being output.
