Sony is offering a system firmware update for Digital Motion Picture Camera VENICE 2 “MPC-3628”and "MPC-3626".

Sony highly recommends this firmware update for immediate installation on all VENICE 2 systems to ensure highest performance.

To add a new function and to improve the performance of VENICE 2, the updated software is released.  (V5.00)

If the current version is V3.00 or earlier, you must first upgrade to V3.9x before upgrading to V5.00.
If the current version is V4.00, you must first upgrade to V4.10 before upgrading to V5.00.
Note: UpdateManual and ReleaseNote are included in the zipped download file with main firmware module.

Applicable model

Digital Motion Picture Camera VENICE  2“MPC-3628” and "MPC-3626".

Applicable system software version

The applicable products have system firmware version “Ver.4.10”.
After updating, the system firmware version will be “Ver.5.00”.

Contents of V5.00

Improved usability and operability

• “Signature” Preset Look option for monitoring has been added.
• 4096×2160P 12G has been added as an SDI output format (Project Frame Rate 47.95 fps).
• The CNA-2 Camera Control Network Adaptor can now be used as a LAN conversion adaptor.

Other improved functions

• The visibility of the “Out of Range” text in the moiré alert level display has been improved under In-Camera VFX mode.
• The brightness of the Bubble gauge marking has been improved to enhance monitor visibility.
