This service is specially offered** to owners of VAIO notebook computers who have purchased from Sony VAIO official distribution in Sony Thai Co., Ltd.

  • You can purchase this Service only within 30 days after the date of purchase of the Product.
  • It is necessary to bring VAIO set upon purchasing VOS.
  • It is necessary to has applicable Model and Serial number information for conditions checking.

4. Details of Service Procedure

*The VAIO Overseas Service logo sticker sent by Sony must be placed on the computer and contains an actual date of purchase (or registered date) in order to obtain this service.

(2) In case of for-fee repair
  • When VOS sticker is not placed on the computer
  • When VOS sticker does not contain a purchase date or When the VOS sticker is recognized with a false purchase date.
  • Cosmetic damages
  • Damage due to:
  • - Accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use or modifications of the Product
    - Improper operation or maintenance of the Product
    - Connection to improper voltage supply
    - Dropping or hitting the Product
    - Acts of God
    - Attempted repair by any party other than a SONY authorized personal computer service facility
  • Malfunction resulting from the use of the Product in conjunction with accessories, products or ancillary or peripheral equipment
  • Request to ship the Product outside of the region in which the repair is requested
  • Factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the Product

Depending on the nature of the problem, it may be necessary to charge for the repair (more details available in the Terms and Conditions)
In such a case, Sony will take the following actions.


Step 1

    Sony will contact you before beginning the repair and inform you of the estimated repair charge.

Step 2

    You can choose from the following options:

    Repair

    A) Charges related to the repair may be different from what is charged in Singapore due to exchange rate, spare parts price, etc.
    B) Method of repair fee payment depends on the country in question.
    C) Repair fee will be charged in the local currency of the country in which the VAIO PC has bee checked-in.

    Do Not Repair

    A) Sony will deliver the unrepaired VAIO PC to the location that you had previously informed the service centre of.
    B) Method of shipping fee payment depends on the country of the service centre.
    C) Shipping fee will be charged in local currency**
