Terms and Conditions for all Consumer Products

    Sony Thai Co., Ltd. ("Sony") warrants this SONY product against defects in MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP, on the following terms and conditions:

    • The warranty extends only to Sony products purchased in Thailand and from authorized dealer with the original proof of purchase (invoice or receipt). Please keep your ORIGINAL PURCHASE RECEIPT and present it for verification when required.
    • The warranty excludes and does not cover any damage, loss, malfunction, defect or other issue arising from or related to: (a) act of God, (b) negligence, (c) accident, (d) natural diasters, (e) fires, (f) lighting, (g) pollution, (h) insects or animals (i) corrosion, (j) unauthorized modification, (k) repair by any person not authorized and approved by Sony, (l) lack of or improper maintenance or care, (m) abuse or misuse, (n) inappropriate or improper installation, set-up, voltage connection or use, (o) signal reception or tuning of channels or stations, (p) the finish or exterior of the product, (q) any consumables (e.g.. batteries, tapes etc.) or software supplied with the product, and/or (r) use of the product with another product ,accessory or software, and/or (s) defaced or missing serial numbers. Sony and its Authorized Service Center will charge labor and parts, if against the above conditions, for work done where this product is found to be in good working order.
    • Sony shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, exemplary, consequential or economic damage or loss (including loss of profits, use, data, anticipated savings, goodwill or business opportunities and loss or deletion of or modification to data, software or information)arising from or related to the warranty (including Sony's services under it). Sony's liability under or in relation to the warranty (including Sony's services under it) is limited to the cost of replacing the product with the same or an equivalent product, or of repairing the product, whichever is lower. To the extent permitted by the applicable law, Sony disclaims all other warranties (express or implied) with respect to the Product, including but not limited to any implied warranties for merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.
    • Sony reserves the right to replace the product or relevant part with the same or equivalent product or part, rather than repair it. Where a replacement is provided the product or part replaced becomes the property of Sony. Sony may replace parts with refurbished parts. Replacement of the product or part does not extend or restart the standard warranty period. Replacement of a part during the extended warranty period does not extend or restart the extended warranty period. If the product is replaced during the extended warranty period, the extended warranty automatically terminates upon replacement.
    • Sony's decision on any questions on defects, workmanship or materials relating to the product, or on any other matter related to the warranty, shall be final and conclusive and you irrevocably agree to abide by Sony's decision.
    • The Product will be at the owner's risk whilst in transit to and from the Sony Authorized Service Centre, unless transported by Sony or its Authorized representatives.
    • If the purchaser ("you") requests Sony, and Sony agrees, to provide any repair services outside the scope of the warranty, you shall pay Sony service and transportation fees, and the costs of any replacement parts used, at such rates as Sony may determine in its sole discretion.
    • In case there is no fault found in Sony products, you shall pay all costs incurred including but not limited to Sony services and transportation fees.
    • The warranty period shall be the period set out in the warranty application form submitted by you to Sony. The warranty period will not be extended by any servicing done on the product.
    • Where the product is a LCD monitor and the alleged defect is "dead pixels", Sony may in its sole discretion (but is not obliged to) exchange the product if the complaint is of 7 or more "dead pixels". Where the number of "dead pixels" complained of is less, Sony is in all cases not obliged to exchange the product.
    • Where the product is a Business Projector VPL product, you are entitled to one free replacement each of the bulb for 1,000 hours or 180 days after the purchase. You may call our Contact Center for assistance to confirm the warranty.
    • The Warranty is non-transferable, and none of the rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions may be assigned or transferred.
