Things To Know
The error may occur in any of the following instances:
- While you check your TV's software update
- While your TV downloads the latest software update
- After your TV completes the software update
- While your TV connects to an access point through wired or wireless connection
- While you access a TV app
Solution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Make sure the TV connects to an active internet connection.
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select Preferences.
- Under the Preferences, select Setup.
- Under the Setup, select Network.
- Under the Network, select Network Setup.
- Under the Network Setup, select View Network settings and status.
- Select Check Connection.
This may take several minutes. Don't cancel this operation.

Make sure you agree with the Privacy Policy.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select Preferences.
- Under the Preferences, select Setup.
- Under the Setup, select Privacy Policy.
- In the Privacy Policy screen, select Agree. Then, press the right arrow button on the TV remote control to confirm.
- To return to the Network category, press the back button.
- Under the Network category, select Network Setup.
- Under the Network Setup, select Setup network connection.
- In the Please select how to set up your network screen, select Easy or Expert.
- Select Expert if you want to customize your settings, or if you need to switch between wired and wireless modes.
- Under the Network Setup- Wi-Fi Network screen, select Scan.
- Under the Network Setup -Wireless Security screen, press the center button.
- Enter your network password or security key.
- Under the IP Address Setting screen, select Auto.
- Select No for the proxy server.
- Select Save and Connect.

If the TV connects to the access point, install the latest update through the Customer Support menu of the TV.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under the Settings category, select Customer Support.
- Select Software Update.
- Select Network.

If the issue still occurs after the Network update, use a USB device to update the TV.
- Download the latest software update on your computer. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under the Settings category, select Customer Support.
- Select Software Update.
- Select USB.

Additional Troubleshooting
If the steps above didn't resolve the issue, try these additional steps:
- Unplug the TV power cord and the router from the electrical outlet for about a minute.
- Power on the router and the TV.
- Perform a Refresh Internet Content at least twice.
- Verify the Device ID through the Customer Support menu of the internet video device.
- Use primary DNS, 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS, 8.8.4.4 to Manually configure the DNS
